Detroit Sound Conservancy Presents Angela Davis

Angela Davis, a Detroit Native, is one of Detroit's most accomplished singers. She is the 2015 WDIV/Channel 4 Super Singer winner. Since winning this competition, she has had the opportunity to share stages with various national acts including The Temptations, Beach Boys, Alexander O’Neal, Gerald Albright, Norman Brown, Johnny Gill, Regina Bell, Angie Stone,
Keith Washington, Tyrese, Dwele and many more! She has been the featured singer at
prestigious events including The Detroit Music Awards, The Ford Fireworks, America's Thanksgiving Parade, National Anthem Vocalist for the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings, and 2024 NFL Draft. She was recently honored as “Entertainer of the Year” at the Detroit Black Music Awards in August 2024.
Angela recently achieved a major goal of performing the National Anthem at all 3 of Detroit’s professional sports venues for all 4 of the professional sports teams (Ford Field,
Comerica Park, and Little Caesars Arena).
In addition to this amazing achievement, in 2024 she received the distinct honor to perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” for the 2024 NFL Draft
opening ceremony in Downtown Detroit, MI.

Detroit Sound Conservancy is a music archive devoted to the preservation and celebration of Detroit music. They present some of Detroit’s most talented musicians and preserve the rich musical heritage of the region.
