Caroline Shaw - Entr’acte
Ottorino Respighi - Three Botticelli Pictures

A graceful program inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Longwood Gardens. Faure’s elegant incidental music was originally written for the theater.

Respighi was inspired by three Botticelli paintings. Caroline Shaw, a contemporary American composer, took her inspiration from a string quartet of Haydn.

We complete the program with Boccherini’s charming Cello Concerto, performed by Bennett Tsai.
