Corvallis Comedy Night with Aparna Nancherla

November 16 at 7:30 pm

Majestic Theatre- Starker Auditorium

Tickets: $23

Aparna Nancherla is one of the most distinctive voices in modern comedy, literally and figuratively. While you’ve seen her brilliantly dry and hilarious stand-up on Netflix, HBO and Comedy Central, you’ve also heard her voice on such great animated series as BoJack Horseman and Bob’s Burgers. As an actress, Aparna has appeared in the Blake Lively/Anna Kendrick film A Simple Favor, tons of amazing TV shows including Abbott Elementary and What We Do In the Shadows, as well as Jerry Seinfeld’s recent Netflix movie Unfrosted. And if that wasn’t enough, last year Penguin Random House published Aparna’s first book, Unreliable Narrator, which garnered rave reviews nationwide, and landed her an interview on NPR’s Fresh Air. Now that she’s conquered every form of media, we are thrilled to welcome Aparna back to stand-up and to The Majestic!

Corvallis Comedy Night with Maddie Wiener

February 21 at 7:30 pm

Majestic Theatre- Starker Auditorium

Tickets: $20

Whenever we bring comedians to town we always ask them “Who are the best new stand-ups we need to know about?” And for the past couple years they’ve all said the same thing, “Maddie Wiener. Maddie Wiener. Maddie Wiener.” Still in her mid-twenties, she’s already opened for everyone from Dave Attell to Nikki Glaser, done a set for Comedy Central, and been named to Just For Laughs’ prestigious New Faces lineup. Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Maddie Wiener is now one of the most buzzed-about comedians in New York and a regular at the world famous Comedy Cellar. It’s always so cool to get to see a young comedian who’s really taking off, and we are so happy to have that chance here in Corvallis!
