Les Délices makes musical magic in a new program featuring “breakout artist” (Boston Globe) soprano Hannah De Priest. With “a voice that is theater itself” (Classique News), De Priest inspires the sun to rise in Lefebvre’s cantata Le lever de l’Aurore, embodies a faithful lover in Rameau’s Le berger fidele, and suffers the pain unrequited love in Handel’s passionate Mi palpita il cor. Les Délices’ brilliant ensemble includes oboe, violins, and continuo performing additional works by Corelli, Scarlatti, and Bourgeois.
