Medieval music sounded remarkably modern and sophisticated in the hands of forward-thinking composers like Guillaume de Machaut, Jacob Senleches, and Johannes Suzoy. Writing in the 14th century, their music displayed unparalleled freedom of thought, fearlessly explored rhythmic complexity, and pushed the limits of what was possible to both notate and perform. Sophie Michaux (mezzo soprano) and James Reese (tenor) join Scott Metcalfe (vielle and harp) and Debra Nagy (voice, harp, and medieval winds) unite for this fascinating – and mesmerizing – program that effortlessly combines expression with reason and purity with pleasure. |

Les Délices does not have assigned ticket seating, we operate on general admissions within sections.
We have found that this works the best as we perform at different venues throughout the season. We offer tickets in two sections: A and B. Our A-Section is preferred seating closest to the stage, and is usually within the front third of the venue. |
