Join us for a staged reading of A Christmas Conversion written by David Ahlvers and directed by Carissa Meisner Smit. Part of the FIRST DRAFT staged reading series presented by the Edmonds Driftwood Players and Driftwood After Dark.

Synopsis: Christopher is a renowned gay conversion therapist who believes his world view is the one, true perspective. But, on Christmas Eve he is forced to challenge his own truth when three ghosts force him to confront his past, meet his present, and see his future. Adapting Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, we follow Christopher as he navigates the reality of his practice, its impact on the people around him, and discovers his true self.

Expected Run Time: 75 minutes, with no intermission. A Playwright Feedback session will be held after the reading and is encouraged but optional to stay and participate.
