Praised by The Strad magazine as “Fiery and intelligent,” internationally renowned cellist Amit Peled is acclaimed as one of the most exciting and virtuosic instrumentalists on the concert stage today. Peled has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center in New York, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., Salle Gaveau in Paris, Wigmore Hall in London, and the Konzerthaus Berlin. He has released over a dozen recordings on the Naxos, Centaur, Delos, and CTM Classics labels.

You will have an opportunity to hear Amit Peled twice! First in an intimate chamber recital with pianist Bethel Balge on April 27, 4:30pm and secondly on May 4, when Peled will perform with the MSO. The MSO will conclude its season with a performance of Sibelius’ 2nd Symphony.
