Iolanthe, the most beloved of all the fairies,
committed an unforgivable crime: marrying
a mortal. As she returns from 25 years in
exile, her half-fairy, half-human son also
wishes to marry a mortal. The fairies of the
forest face off against the most pompous
politicians in this whimsical, witty and
tuneful comedy, considered by many to be
Gilbert and Sullivan’s most perfect creation.
Fully staged, with piano accompaniment.
Directed by Ian & Joy Dorsch
