The Importance of Being Earnest is a farcical, romantic comedy set in 1890s London. Two friends, Jack Worthington and Algernon Moncrieff, use the same pseudonym (Ernest) creating elaborate deceptions to escape unwanted social obligations while wooing the two young women of their affections.
