The Laramie Project recounts a rural community's response to the horrific hate crime of Matthew Shepard, a young gay student who was brutally attacked and left for dead in 1998. Moisés Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project captured the town’s response through over 200 interviews, crafting a powerful, moving portrait of a community grappling with who they are now that the national spotlight is on them. This compelling play is a tribute to the LGBTQ+ community's resilience and the human spirit.
