Rated PG-13
Movie Synopsis: Hedy Lamarr, Shirley Temple, and Judy Garland impacted the world around them far beyond the shallow Hollywood façade. Their impact is apparent to this day. This true story follows the careers of three of Hollywood's biggest stars from 1938 to 1976. Hedy Lamarr, Shirley Temple and Judy Garland were the biggest names in their day, but their contributions to the world off camera is the focus of this story. The contribution these women made to the world are beyond estimation, and it is a story that needs to be told.
Run Time: This film is 1 hour 55 minutes. After it concludes, there will be a 15-minute break before we begin the optional Q&A session with the writer, director, and leads of the film.

Additional Movie/Project Info: "Beautiful Bombshells" is a locally produced film with many connections to EDP. The lead, Emma Kormanyos, has been seen in the Festival of Shorts, Jeff Strom plays Hollywood Director Busby Berkely and has been in many EDP productions, including the recent Miracle on 34th Street, The Play, and the Writer/Director of the film, Brent Stainer, has written for Festival of Shorts and is a frequent EDP Lighting Designer.
At the time "Beautiful Bombshells" was in production, Brent was the lighting designer for EDP's Murder on the Orient Express. The screenplay called for a scene on a passenger train. After a few inquiries, EPD provided an opportunity for the use of the set. With cooperation of EDP's Technical Director, Brian Fletcher, the set was filmed with a green screen through the train windows, allowing moving forest to be in its place in post-production. Director Brent Stainer commented, "This is a wonderful example of Edmonds Driftwood Players providing local support for theatre arts in the area. We have borrowed costumes and props in the past, but it is very unusual to borrow a set! EDP's assistance has been fabulous!"
"Beautiful Bombshells" is produced by 'Unfortunate COVID Productions' and Archbishop Murphy High School in South Everett. This is their fourth film, with their fifth, "Task Failed Successfully" due to premier in Everett on April 11th, 2025. The second AMHS / Unfortunate COVID Production film, "Bridgehurst Asylum" has been picked up nationally and is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, and streaming on Tubi. "Beautiful Bombshells" and the previous film, "Varsity Squad" are in the process of national distribution. Proceeds from this screening will benefit AMHS Original Film Department and EDP.
