Tryon Fine Arts Center and its film committee is excited for its partnership with Tryon Theatre for the screening of the film series in the historic cinema. The TFAC Film Series continues Tuesday, February 11 at Tryon Theatre and will feature The Shawshank Redemption, featuring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. The Shawshank Redemption is a harrowing tale about the triumph of the human spirit. It is based on a novella by Stephen King, titled "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption". The story follows a banker named Andy Duphrane who's wrongfully convicted of killing his wife and her lover, and is sent to the Shawshank maximum security prison where he befriends another inmate named Red.
