Tryon Fine Arts Center and its film committee is excited for its partnership with Tryon Theatre for the screening of the film series in the historic cinema. The TFAC Film Series continues Tuesday, March 11 at Tryon Theatre and will feature The Talented Mr Ripley, starring Matt Damon, and Gwenyth Paltrow. The Talented Mr. Ripley is a 1999 American psychological thriller film written and directed by Anthony Minghella, based on Patricia Highsmith's 1955 novel. In late 1950s New York, a young underachiever named Tom Ripley is sent to Italy to retrieve Dickie Greenleaf, a rich and spoiled millionaire playboy. But when the errand fails, Ripley takes extreme measures.
