10 Tiny Dances

This year 10 Tiny Dances® provides you an intimate experience with dance in the Majestic Lab Theatre. Dancers face the challenge of performing on a stage that is 4 feet x 4 feet x 1.5 feet high surrounded by the audience, just a few feet away.

The “less is more” principle brings an intense focus to the contained dances. Dancers present ballet, modern, contact improv, tap, jazz, tango, Columbian dances, hip hop, all expressing the theme – “BOOKS – tell me a story.“ Will one of your favorite books come to life before your eyes? Five children’s books and five grown up books will be the jumping off point for the 10 dances.

The companion Tiny Art Show, coordinated by AliceAnn Eberman, will sell miniature 4” x 4” artwork in the lobby. This is a fun community multi-art event, and a Benefit Concert and Art sale for the Majestic Theatre.
