Through the magic of theater, America’s greatest intellectual, Ralph Waldo Emerson appears onstage for a benefit performance for the 8 North Center for the Arts. Fort Thomas resident actor/playwright Phil Paradis performs a staged reading as Emerson entertaining visitors to his home in Concord, Massachusetts in 1871. Audiences will be enthralled by the dry wit and humor, the sage advice, and wisdom of the author of “Self-Reliance” as they travel in time to America 150 years ago.
