Peter and the Starcatcher

May 9 - 18, 2025

"Peter and the Starcatcher" is a Tony Award-winning play that offers a fresh take on the tale of Peter Pan. It centers on a young orphan and his companions on an island ruled by an evil king. There, they stumble upon a mysterious trunk filled with precious cargo. They are soon joined by a girl named Molly, who is training to become a Starcatcher. Their journey turns into a thrilling adventure when their ship is hijacked by pirates under the command of a villain named Black Stache. The play delves into themes of adventure, magic, friendship, and loyalty, blending elements of humor and slapstick comedy.

Although "Peter and the Starcatcher" incorporates music, it is not a traditional musical. The performance lasts about 2 hours and 20 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission.

The cast includes performers ranging from 10-year-olds to adults. The show carries a PG rating and is deemed suitable for a broad audience, particularly those aged 8 and up. While it isn't classified as a children's play, it remains appropriate for younger viewers, though some simulated battles and jokes may be more appreciated by older children and adults.

"Peter and the Starcatcher" is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
