The backbone of the recital is built around the Volodos transcription of Mozart’s Rondo Alla Turca, Myra Hess’s transcription of Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue – and then fleshed out in the moment with improvisations on audience suggestions and imaginative twists on traditional repertory.
