Stephen Sondheim and James Lapines Into the Woods weaves familiar fairy tales into one surprising story. When a Baker and his Wife set out to lift a curse, their journey intersects with Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel—each chasing a wish. But once the wishes come true, the characters discover that choices have consequences, and “happily ever after” is more complicated than it seems.
Funny, moving, and sharply insightful, the musical explores desire, responsibility, and what it means to live in community.
Directed by Dr. Tia Madison, Music Direction by Dr. Christina Howell. Conducted by Duncan Cooper.
