We are a non-profit youth theatre dedicated to providing professional direction to our young cast members to develop their talents with the backdrop of quality sets, costumes and a live orchestra, to give both the performers and the audience a genuine Broadway musical experience.

Newsies

Stop the presses! This Disney film turned Tony-winning Broadway hit inspires everyone to fight for what's right and seize the day.

HMT is carrying the banner on the Highline PAC stage with Disney's Newsies! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!

Recommended for ages 10 and up, but you know your child best so here is some additional information regarding content.

The musical contains:
Mild Violence -There are scenes of staged fights and scuffles, some involving weapons. Some Curse Words - The musical includes occasional curse words. Drinking, Drugs, and Smoking - There are references to these substances, including an unlit cigar.
