Experience Canadian Literature Live: Authors on Stage

Presented in partnership with Orangeville's beloved independent bookstore, BookLore, Theatre Orangeville invites you to Authors on Stage – your exclusive literary passport to the most exciting new voices and titles in Canadian literature.

Led by the esteemed Nancy Frater, 2013 Canadian Bookseller of the Year, BookLore has been a cornerstone of our community and a dedicated supporter of Theatre Orangeville from day one. This collaboration now extends directly to our New Play Development (NPD) Fund, ensuring that every ticket to Authors on Stage helps us commission new plays from Canadian playwrights and support their artistic journey through vital workshops.

Join us for three unique events held annually at the historic Opera House, where you'll have the unparalleled opportunity to:

  • Engage in insightful interviews with leading Canadian authors.
  • Hear exclusive readings from their latest works.
  • Participate in lively audience Q&A sessions.
  • Meet the authors during book signings.

Previous events have featured literary giants such as Lawrence Hill, Tanya Talaga, Pierre Burton, Margaret Atwood, Peter Mansbridge, and many more, offering unforgettable evenings of discovery and inspiration.
