Bread + Puppet Present:

Our Domestic Resurrection Revolution in Progress!

At Addison Count Fair Grounds

Sunday, September 7 at 4:30pm*

*Brass band starts playing at 4:10pm

"Our Domestic Resurrection Revolution in Progress!" is a brand new show in the tradition of the iconic Bread & Puppet Circuses that began at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont in 1970. As usual, the show will draw on traditional circus tropes and familiar Bread and Puppet iconography to draw attention to the urgent issues of the day. Stilt dancers, paper maché beasts of all sizes and a riotous brass band make a raucous, colorful spectacle of protest and celebration set against the iconic Bread + Puppet hand-painted bus.

In Bread & Puppet’s words: “The Circus is back with Anti-Empire Art that acknowledg-es our beloved Mother Dirt, who makes us and unmakes us, and who presents urgent-ly needed domestic resurrection services. Join us for a serious and silly circus!”

After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.

All ticket proceeds benefit Bread and Puppet Theater and Town Hall Theater.

Bring chairs, picnics, and a sense of humor.

This year’s performance will be held at the Addison County Fair Grounds off Field Days Road.
