Celebrate the Season with VCT!
This December, Vermillion Community Theatre (VCT) invites audiences to gather once more for a cherished holiday tradition — Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” — lovingly reimagined for 2025 with fresh music, new staging, and a feast fit for the season!
From December 11–14, VCT will present five performances of this timeless tale of redemption and Christmas spirit, adapted by Amanda Dills and Vermillion’s own Pastor Katie Miller. Featuring new original music performed live by local musicians and actors, this year’s production offers audiences something entirely new — even those who attended last year’s sold-out run.
Audiences attending the four evening performances (beginning at 6 p.m.) will enjoy not only a moving story but also a period-inspired dinner prepared by Chef Dana Christensen of The Duck & Cat. This three-course experience will begin with a spread of savory meats, cheeses, and snacks, continue with a heartymain-course buffet sure to thaw even the coldest of hearts, and finish sweetly with a classic sticky toffee pudding.
All evening performances begin at XIX Brewing Co., where guests can toast the season before being guided to W Social House for the main event.
For those seeking a lighter option, VCT will also offer a special discounted matinee performance (no meal included) on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.
Directed by Olivia Lieber, produced by Anthony Burbach, and musically directed by Katie Miller, the cast features a talented ensemble of community performers of all ages.
Evening Dinner & Performance: $65 (includes meal and up to two alcoholic drinks)
Matinee Performance: $35 (performance only)
The show begins at XIX Brewing Company and ends at W Social House. While locations are within walking distance, please get in touch with us if there are any accessibility concerns.
