Sail off on a fantastic musical excursion when a band of comical pirates lands at North Beach looking for an expert digger to join their crew. Braid Beard and his mates enlist young Jeremy Jacob as they look for the perfect spot to bury their treasure. Jeremy finds that adventuring can be lots of fun, but also learns that love and home are treasures you can’t find on any map! The whole family will love this delightful and swashbuckling musical adventure.

This production is roughly 60 minutes long with no intermission.

"What does Sensory Friendly Mean?"

FMCT is committed to increasing access and inclusion for our community’s children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders and other sensory, social, and cognitive disabilities. Audience members are welcome to bring their own manipulatives, seat cushions, comfort objects, and extra support items to this special performance.

To provide a supportive and welcoming environment for children and families, this dedicated Sensory Friendly performance includes: reduction of loud or jarring sounds, reductions in flashing or bright lights, lights remain on at a low level during the performance, audience members are free to talk or move during the show, extra staff and volunteer support, designated “Quiet Room” and “Take a Break Space”, guidance and sensory supports (fidgets, earplugs, noise cancelling headphones) will be available before and during the show.

How I Became A Pirate will be performed at the Hjemkomst Center (202 1st Ave N, Moorhead, MN 56560). A free public parking lot is located immediately outside the venue.

Venue doors will open 30 minutes before the performance time.
