Come From Away

February/March 2027

Come From Away is a musical based on the true events following September 11, 2001, when 38 planes were unexpectedly grounded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. Nearly 7,000 stranded passengers— “come from aways”—were welcomed by the town and surrounding area residents, who opened their homes, schools, and hearts to complete strangers.

Told through a dynamic ensemble portraying multiple characters, Come From Away highlights the resilience of humanity and the extraordinary kindness that can emerge in moments of crisis.

Brian Mosher, retired Gander Collegiate teacher and broadcaster, is coming to Newport News on the first weekend, February 26 - 28. Brian hosted live cable TV shows in Gander providing information and updates during that crucial time. Read more about Brian and the talk-back events.
