Women’s VOICES Theater Project
When We Dance Again
- Directed by Jennifer Hughes -
A beautiful journey to discover what it is to be a woman.
Six women come together in a devised theatrical ritual, weaving story and movement to explore what it means to be a woman. The piece delves into motherhood, identity, and the shifting roles women carry. At its heart, it reaches toward the divine, reimagining the sacred as both personal and collective.

Women's VOICES Project was inspired by VOICES' founder Barbara Reese, whose voice had been silent for 50 years before discovering her affinity for poetry. Today, these multi-generational and multi-racial voices of women tell stories of survival, resilience, love, healing, and our deep connections to one another and to the natural world. This performance was created entirely by the ensemble themselves, curated from their own stories. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind community theater!
