Six-time GRAMMY® winners, Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees, and living gospel legends, The Blind Boys of Alabama are more than a musical group—they are a masterclass in American soul. Having helped define the soundtrack of the Civil Rights era, they rose from singing for pocket change in the Jim Crow South to performing for three U.S. Presidents. On this tour, these singing legends pay tribute to Stevie Wonder’s 1976 masterpiece, Songs in the Key of Life, classics like: Sir Duke, I Wish, As, and more along with their own repertoire, blending gospel, soul, and Americana.
In 2003, the Blind Boys earned a Grammy® for an album that included their acclaimed cover of Stevie Wonder’s Higher Ground, a version later featured in film and television, including FX’s Fargo. In 2007, Stevie Wonder presented Blind Boys singer Jimmy Carter a Lifetime Achievement Award.
With over 75 years of lifting spirits they continue spreading light and love through the universal language of music. It will be an evening of power, praise, and proof that some voices aren’t just heard—they’re felt.
“They are always hunting for – and finding – the perfect note or harmony that lifts an old tune into the sublime.” TIME Magazine
“Whether you’re a church-going regular or not, these songs will put you right in an imaginary old wooden pew and have you clapping right along.” Off-Beat Magazine
