Broadside the Musical is a messy breakup story set to music: Britain and America, once in harmony, fall out of sync in a war of words before the first musket is fired. In pre-Revolutionary Boston, broadsides were everywhere: they were sharp and fast, working like the first social memes, they could shape public opinion overnight. At the center is Paul Revere, an artisan whose etchings become weapons in a growing information war. Caught between worlds is Margaret Gage, navigating loyalty as tensions rise and neighbors turn into rivals. Broadside reveals how songs, satire, and rumor didn’t just reflect the conflict, they fueled it.
