Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years is an emotionally intimate and powerful musical that has captivated audiences around the world. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music, the acclaimed production was named one of TIME Magazine's Ten Best Shows of 2001, has been translated into multiple languages, enjoyed a celebrated Off-Broadway revival in 2013, inspired a 2014 film adaptation starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, and made its long-awaited Broadway premiere in 2025.
The musical follows two New Yorkers as they fall in and out of love over the course of five years. Told through an innovative structure, Cathy recounts the relationship in reverse chronological order while Jamie tells his story from beginning to end, with the pair sharing the stage together only once—at their wedding, in the heart of the show.
This special concert production stars Lakeland native Tyler Campbell as Jamie alongside Kristen Eliza Brock, a Lakeland native now based in New York City, as Cathy, bringing the beloved musical home with two performers whose roots began in the very community where this story will be shared.
