Better Middlebury Partnership / Experience Middlebury presents:
By Candlelight:
An Evening of Séance
Saturday, September 19 at 6:30pm
Ages 21+
In the historic vaulted hall beneath the National Bank of Middlebury Duclos Building
The candles are lit. The hall awaits.
Step beneath the streets of downtown Middlebury for one mysterious night as the historic bank opens its doors. Inspired by Vermont's 19th-century Spiritualist movement, this immersive fundraiser invites the curious, the skeptical, and the believers alike to step beyond the veil.
The evening weaves together history, storytelling, and mystical tradition. Special guest Eva Garcelon-Hart shares insights into Vermont's Spiritualist past through the collections of the Henry Sheldon Museum, while practitioners from around the state open the door to séances, divination, and the unexplained. Tarot and intuitive readings will be available during the course of the evening.
Dress to embrace the occasion: Victorian elegance, gothic glamour, mysterious mediums, or simply your finest black attire. Think Gilded Age or early 20th century Downton Abbey. The more you lean in, the more fun you'll have.
Your ticket includes fare from Crooked Ladle, with a curated cocktail, wine, and beer bar open throughout the evening.
