A Double Bill
A Playwright Writes a Play
by Lindsay Brown
&
Waiting for Fair
by F.J. Hartland
A DOUBLE BILL features two original One Act Plays in one evening. A Playwright Writes a Play by Lindsay Brown asks how a playwright can write a play when they have nothing to write? Will a demanding director, along with a trio of talented, but needy, actors be able to help? Or will they just drive our playwright to absolute despair? And Waiting for Fair by F.J. Hartland. A mismatched couple’s awkward first date—and equally awkward sex—sets off a wave of comic fallout among their circle of friends. As Troy and Marisol try to move past being just “fair,” their friends hide their own vulnerabilities behind old movies and sarcasm. A witty exploration of modern love, expectations, and the lies we tell to connect.
