Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

by Tennessee Williams
Directed by TBA

The Pollitt family has gathered to celebrate patriarch Big Daddy’s 65th birthday and to rejoice in the news that he’s not dying of cancer after all. Except that’s a lie, one of many that find refuge within the walls of the Pollitt plantation. Those lies are laid bare as family members confront ghosts from the past, deep-seated resentments, and schemes to win control of Big Daddy’s fortune. Against this backdrop, favorite son Brick and wife Maggie, the title’s “cat on a hot tin roof,” must come to terms with their own unspoken truths in order to discover if their marriage is over... or if the love they once shared will prevail. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, playwright Tennessee Williams considered this play his favorite.
