When 19-year-old Gail is cast out by her disapproving stepfather, she finds refuge in the last place her family would expect: a North Las Vegas goth bar. With the fiercely protective Joy in her corner—and a wonderfully eccentric collection of allies beside her—Gail prepares to confront the family she loves without surrendering the person she is.

Gail and Joy is a darkly funny and compassionate play about family, failure, self-expression, and the surprising connections that can begin to heal even the deepest divisions.
