Back by popular demand, Alpin Hong returns to Kent after an overwhelmingly successful 2013 residency and concert. Alpin's combination of humor, emotion and dazzling technique brings audiences of all ages to their feet. This is classical for the iPod generation. The New York Times called him a "pianistic firebrand." His extensive classical training, matched with his background in skateboarding, snowboarding, martial arts and video games, forms a creative force unmatched in its youthful vivacity and boundless energy. This year Alpin will build on his relationship with Kent School District students and incorporate them into his final performance.
