The Girl, The Galaxy and the Giant Sound Wave

Set in a future world covered almost entirely by water, The Girl, the Galaxy & the Giant Sound Wave follows one adventurous girl as she leaves her ocean home and journeys through the galaxy in search of answers. Along the way, she encounters strange creatures, futuristic machines, low-gravity worlds, monsters, and unexpected friends.

Featuring the music of Danceworks’ longtime collaborator Allen Russell, this science-fiction-inspired concert blends dance, live music, and imaginative storytelling through scientific facts and the curious perspective of a young girl. Audiences are invited to discover the science of sound and the surprising ways we are all connected. Because sometimes, saving the universe starts with simply learning how to listen.

This show is perfect for ages grade 3 and beyond. Adults and children at heart are also welcome!

$30 General Admission (Pay-It-Forward Rate)

Tickets purchased directly through Danceworks support our mission. This flat-rate, Pay-It-Forward ticket includes a reserved seat for the performance but does not include admission to Discovery World Museum.

Discovery World Museum Admission Tickets

Discovery World admission tickets include access to both the museum and the performance. However, these tickets do not guarantee a seat at the show. Museum admission ticket holders are encouraged to join the performance holding line up to 30 minutes before showtime. Seats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
