fighting for Actors
Taught By Erik Hall
Students will be exposed to and learn proper technique with physical actions that they have a high probability with encountering in most Stage work.
This includes:
Slaps, forehand and backhand
Punches: Cross, Uppercut, & Jab
Knaps: Self or First Person, Secondary
& Third Person
Kicks
Falling: Front & Rear
Hair Pulling
Choking
Rolling (If time allows)
Students will then be paired at the end of class and given a scenario and allowed to create a “fight” to showcase to class as well as be critiqued.
Note to students:
Students should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. If they have difficulty kneeling or sensitive knees, knee pads are recommended.
Erik Hall, of Period Productions, is a seasoned stage combat instructor as well as an experienced actor. He has acted, written and directed for the New Jersey Renaissance Fair for over 15 years, as well as the Village Renaissance Faire in Wrightstown, PA. He has choreographed stage combat in shows all over Central New Jersey, including shows at Circle Playhouse, Villagers Theater, and Playhouse 22.

Registration Fee is $20.
Class will take place Saturday , August 10 1pm – 4 pm - 1pm at the theater
