Jesse Blumberg and Martin Katz Concert.
March 1 at 8 p.m. in Aalfs Auditorium, Slagle Hall.
Pianist Martin Katz has long been known as the "…gold standard in accompanying…"(New York Times) in his innumerable collaborations with such vocal greats as Marilyn Horne, Frederica von Stade, Karita Mattila, Samuel Ramey, David Daniels, Jose Carreras, Cecilia Bartoli, Kiri Te Kanawa, Kathleen Battle, and Sylvia McNair. In his USD visit he brings baritone Jesse Blumberg, a winner of the 2008 International Robert Schumann Competition, for a recital on March 1 at 8 p.m. in Aalfs Auditorium. They will perform songs of Beethoven, Schumann, Ravel and Tom Cipullo. |
