Never grow up! Come fly with The Hartt School Community Division's (HCD) Dance Department, as we present the fully staged ballet Peter Pan, an enchanting tale featuring an original score by Kermit Poling, recently named one of the top ten faces to watch by Forum Magazine, live orchestra, special guest appearances by HCD alumni, and the spectacular flying effects of ZFX.
Children and adults alike will delight in HCD's full length performance, which features more than 150 dancers, ages 5 to 19, from Hartt's Pre-Professional, Foundation, and Children's Ballet programs. Participating in a full-length, professionally staged ballet like Peter Pan helps these developing artists develop unique understanding and respect for the rigorous and invigorating process of preparing such a performance, and is an integral and essential part of a dancer's education.
Students of all levels learn from and are inspired by one another, as they also work side by side with professional artists and mentors. Guest artist Eddy Tovar, former principal dancer with Orlando Ballet and Texas Ballet Theatre, brings new life to the role of Peter Pan.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience a truly original and collaborative adaptation of this most beloved classic!!
