Dinner & A Movie
Divide in Concord

July 2, 7:00pm Dinner, 8:00pm Show
Chilmark Community Center
With film subjects Jill Appel and Janet Rothrock & director Kris Kaczor

Since 1775, with the “shot heard round the world”, Concord, Massachusetts has been known for its revolutionary spirit. In 2014, that revolutionary spirit lives on. Divide in Concord follows Jean Hill, an eighty-four year old woman fighting with the same vigor of those patriots, against a modern-day enemy: single-serve plastic water bottles. Facing strong opposition from local businesses as well as the bottled water industry, Jean has engaged in a three-year local battle that affects the global environment, affecting us all. A perfect blend of harsh realism and inspiring idealism, this stirring story will motivate everyone who watches it.
