What if the honorable way you made your living was no longer an option? How far would you go to protect and provide for your family? Using a local cast of Somali refugees, this winner of the Sundance Directing Award, explores the two-sided story of Indian Ocean piracy. As the only way to save his beloved wife, his young son, and himself, a young Somali man must compromise his morals and sign on to help thieves and killers. This stunning and thought-provoking film goes where no other film addressing this subject has gone, into the hearts of the pirates themselves.
