Hollywood’s Bing Russell bought a field and created the only independent single-A team in the US, being told it would never work. Gathering the attention and desire of players nationwide, Bing’s team of misfits was soon climbing the ranks and playing ball with the Major leagues, proving to themselves, and our nation, that independent spirit can beat the odds.
