The 2nd annual concert event, Petissimo 2015 sponsored by Whitby Toyota Scion, is an elegant evening of music with performances of diverse musical genres including; Big Band, Opera, Jazz, Latin and more. Proceeds for this event will benefit the New Animal Shelter for Uxbridge-Scugog (NASUS).
In the 1940’s, Swing was the most loved form of music and the sound of “Big Bands” floated on the airwaves. One of the highlights of Petissimo 2015 is this Big Band Swing style of music. So, don your classiest 1940’s duds (should you feel inspired) and join us as we present a diverse set of musical genres with big band/swing music by the renowned George Lake Big Band. Joining the band we have performances from the band’s own vocalists, as well as special guest performer Jordana Talsky, solo guitarist Maneli Jamal, and operatic style selections by local Tenor, Glen Kowarsky. Topping off the evening, our Master of Ceremonies will be Neil Crone.
