Rossini's spirited overture in a dazzling arrangement for winds opens a program of beautiful melodies and danceable rhythms. Enescu and Dvořák capture the quintessential folk spirit of their native Romania and Czechoslovakia, respectively, in these two masterworks for orchestral winds.
