WHAT THE DAY OWES TO THE NIGHT French-Algerian choreographer Hervé Koubi is being recognized as one of Europe’s most distinctive choreographers. He will make his White Bird debut with a highly physical, stunningly fluid work for 12 French-Algerian and African male dancers that combines capoeira, martial arts, urban and contemporary dance with powerful imagery evocative of Orientalist paintings and the stone filigree of Islamic architecture.
