September 11 – October 4, 2015

Screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed

Based on the classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Inc.

1920s Hollywood is the setting for this zany, light-hearted romantic comedy about the early days of sound film, when a major movie studio finds itself scrambling to salvage the career of its nasal and off key silent picture star.

Town’s production will be led by Jeremy Reasoner (Les Misérablés) as Don Lockwood who has his sights set upon ingenue Kathy Selden played by Samantha Livoti (The Music Man). This potential romance is not to the liking of the leading lady of the screen, Lina Lamont, portrayed by Shelby Sessler (Miss Saigon). Parker Byun (Tarzan) is poised as Don’s sidekick, Cosmo Brown with Andy Nyland (Mary Poppins) in the role of studio executive R.F. Simpson and Preston McLaurin onstage in a repeat performance as film director, Roscoe Dexter.

The MGM classic has been faithfully and lovingly adapted, with each unforgettable scene present and accounted for, including the show stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Singin’ in the Rain  is sure to leave you “Fit as a Fiddle!”
