FENCES

Troy Maxson was a star in the old Negro baseball leagues, but it’s now the 1950s, and the glory of major league sports is less than a dream. Now he struggles to support his family as a garbage collector for the city of Pittsburgh. His bitterness adds stress to his marriage and to his relationship with his son, who aspires to become a baseball player. Fences, a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning drama, examines racial disharmony in mid-century America, and its multitude of effects on one family.
