A View from the Bridge

Written by Arthur Miller
Directed by Jacqueline McElroy-Poquette

Eddie Carbone is an Italian-American longshoreman living in Brooklyn with his wife and orphaned niece.  He is protective of the young woman and finds himself at odds with his wife’s cousin, an illegal immigrant, when the cousin begins to date the girl. Intertwining and evolving relationships among everyone living in the house cause conflicts that eventually lead to deadly consequences and it is “…like watching a runaway train hurtle towards you and being unable to move.” THE GUARDIAN OF LONDON.  This universal story of love, hate, jealousy and revenge has been adapted for film, TV and even opera and is the recipient of numerous Tony, Drama Desk and Olivier Awards
