Welcome to the darkly comic world of Shel Silverstein, a world where nothing is as it seems and where the most innocent conversation can turn menacing in an instant. During his career the eclectic writer wrote for Playboy and 8 year olds around the world with the same imaginative zeal and exactly social commentary. The ten imaginative plays in this collection range widely in content, but the style is unmistakable. According to the New York Times’ Bruce Weber, “It sends the audience out for intermission with a clear appreciation of human nature as perverse and laughable, something Shel Silverstein felt parents and not just their children ought to understand.” This will be the first production from the newly re-formed Majestic Community Theatre Company!
