HEAR & NOW AUTHOR SERIES: E. LOCKHART
Thursday, February 11 at 7:00pm
Whether the book has the name E. Lockhart or Emily Jenkins on the cover, the result will be the same: it will be eagerly anticipated, it will fly off the bookshelves and readers will love it.
Writing under her real name, Emily Jenkins has earned a loyal following for her books for younger kids, which include the Toys series and Upside-Down Magic (co-authored with Sarah Mlynowski and Lauren Myracle).
Emily’s best-known, though, for the teen books she’s written as E. Lockhart – The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks was a finalist for both the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature and the Michael L. Printz Award. We Were Liars and its surprise twist at the end was a sensation when it was released last spring.
Tickets $10 adults, $5 students, MAC members or Friends of the Library
