Comedians Gone Wild(ish)

Friday June 17th at 7:00pm

The first in what is hopefully a long line of regular professional comedy shows at The Richard E. Wildish Theater starts off with a bang!

When Susan Rice began her stand-up comedy career, she was one of only 20 women to hit comedy stages across the country. Since then, she has taken the comedy world by storm, working with comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Hicks, Sam Kinnison and Paula Poundstone. She has performed on Showtime and Evening at the Improv and been featured on Portlandia. She has taken the stage at The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Las Vegas Comedy Festival, All Jane Comedy Festival, and the Northwest Women’s Comedy Festival. In 2015, she was voted the Funniest Person in Portland. Not only is she thigh-slappingly funny, her heart is as big as her sense of humor. She has helped raise thousands of dollars for Relay for Life through her association with "The Boob Tour" and produces a show called “Funny for Food” for the Portland Food Bank. When audiences leave one or her shows, their cheeks hurt and their hearts are full.

Since being crowned Eugene’s Funniest Person at the Eugene Laff Off many moons ago, Randy Mendez has made people laugh from Portland to San Francisco. He was voted the third funniest person in Portland and has performed at the Helium Comedy Club as well as The Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

Frank King is a former writer for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as well as an awarding winning comedian, humor columnist, and radio talk show and podcast personality. He has on An Evening at the Improv, Showtime’s Comedy on the Road, Showtime’s Comedy Club Network, and more. He was a quarter-finalist on the original Star Search with Ed McMahon…he lost to a puppet.
