This WWII-era musical is both fun and historically significant -- based on true experiences of Canada's War Brides as recounted to the show's writer, Liz Auston. The show focuses on the lives of three fictional women who have but one thing in common: they fall for a Canadian Serviceman during WWII and eventually find themselves bound for Canada to reunite with a spouse they barely had time to know. But will the fairy-tale beginnings work out in the end, as they hope?

Based on true accounts of more than 25 war brides, backed by a music score of big band 1940s chart busters and victory anthems of the era, this original not coincidentally, marks the 70th anniversary of the arrival of Canada’s War Brides. "OPERATION DADDY: Here Come The War Brides!" was first staged in 2006 to sell-out audiences and special attendance by members of provincial parliament, Veteran Affairs Canada, WWII veterans and the War Brides, even garnering attention from the CBC. Enjoy a wonderful musical retelling of a very special moment in Canadian History!
